Air Horns on Cars & Trucks - The Next Big Trend : New car isuzu 2009

Air Horns on Cars & Trucks - The Next Big Trend
by Ivan Cuxeva Jr

Forget jacking your truck up, neons, and chrome rims, today's auto junkies have air horns! Not just any kind of air horn though, real train horns. That's right, it's the new sensation, and people can't get enough of the ear-splitting sound. The madness started with sites like TruckTrainHorns.com popping up, posting videos on Youtube of them riding around scaring the living daylights out of people with their horns. Not long after, other truck websites followed. Then, before you know it, everyone on the block has a 150 plus decibel train horn.
Since the horns require high intensity air flow, you have to have an air source. This includes an air tank and a compressor. Along with other hardware & valves, you have a complete air horn setup. AirHornKits.com sells kits that are easily installed on just about any automobile. The prices range from about $200 to over $600. Each range kit has different specs and decibels of sound. The great thing about buying them as a kit, is you have everything you need to install it. The kits also come with full color directions, making it easier for the first time installer.
The question your probably thinking now is, how am I going to fit a 5 gallon air tank, compressor, hosing, and the horns in to my Honda Accord? Luckily some sites like TruckTrainHorns.com offer smaller systems. For instance you can buy the 'car kit' which includes a smaller size air tank, and compact horns.
Most people with cars put the tank in the trunk, along with the compressor and run a high intensity hose to the air horns. The horns don't have to mount facing forward, this is a common misconception. They're just as effective facing down, towards the ground. So, your thinking of getting an air horn, but just out of curiosity, you want to know...What's the loudest horn out there? That's a good question. The loudest horn made is the Nathan K5. Not many people sell it because it's only available to locomotive related companies. Only a small, select group of sites sell them, and there not cheap! The average price for just the horns is well over $1500. Not to mention you need an air system to push it.
Air horns can be a lot of fun. If and when you decide to purchase one, check out the sites I mentioned in the article. Also be very careful with your new horns, there not toys, and can be dangerous, so use them responsibly.

How Hybrid Cars can help alleviate the Energy Crisis : New isuzu Truck hybrid cars 2009

How Hybrid Cars can help alleviate the Energy Crisis
by Wendy Gorman

We are always being told that as a nation we are not doing enough to alleviate the coming Energy Crisis. Not enough people are yet driving Hybrid Cars to have a big impact, but perhaps that is about to change. The following review addresses how hybrid cars may affect some issues related to the energy crisis.
The United States really has not got its act together in this area.
As the greatest consumer of fossil fuels in the world, we have the greatest potential to act. A large portion of the population however, seem to believe that any energy problems can be solved if only we were prepared to fully exploit existing oil reserves in such places as Alaska or the recently discovered oil deposits in the Gulf of Mexico. Hybrid cars have the potential to protect us from having to use other sources of energy to keep the economy going. Increased use of Hybrid cars won't in itself cause Americans to consume increased amounts of fossil fuel. In fact, Hybrid Cars use much less gasoline-type fossil fuels than conventional cars do.
The American population currently seems unmoved by continuing gas price increases.
Not long ago, people reacted badly to a year on year price comparison that showed significant increase. Now, people let it pass with hardly a murmur. At the same time, car manufacturers, particularly in the gas guzzling fields of trucks and sports utility vehicles, are making autos bigger and bigger. A fashion icon it may be, but try getting the average SUV owner to downsize from his beloved sports charger! In the long run, Hybrid cars cost less than the equivalent conventionally driven vehicle. Thus there is hope that John Doe has a glimmer of light in his struggle to survive the continuing problems of over reliance on an (literally and metaphorically) oil-driven economy.
It could well be argued that the period of cheap oil is already over.
In the near future we could all be swamped by the combined backlash of an energy crisis reinforced with a coincidental 'peak oil crisis'. The affect of a 'peak oil crisis' will be worldwide shortages of both natural gas and oil products. Industrial countries, together with large and small developing countries will be pitched against each other for access to the diminishing stocks that remain. A growing market for Hybrid Cars would be a major weapon against this scenario coming to fruition. The 'peak oil crisis' would not only be postponed, but such a growth in hybrid car purchase could reduce the pressure for more oil exploration activity. Each day, advances are being made in the technology of Hybrid Cars and thus each day the proposition becomes more attractive to the man on the street.
It is perfectly feasible that the recent introduction of the plug-in concept for hybrid cars could result in such vehicles eventually using no gasoline at all.
As the Energy Crisis continues to build, the American people need to galvanise their efforts and address the increasing conflict over oil and its impact on the Country's living standards. Hybrids Cars provide a way to reduce the impact of the energy crisis, and if in the future other countries or international organizations fail to agree on acceptable solutions, the US will at least have the comfort of knowing it has done its part by furthering its investment in Hybrid Cars.
Finally then, a significant increase in the use of Hybrid cars in the United States would contribute to a noticeable reduction in its dependence on oil and therefore help alleviate the affect of the coming energy crisis. It should be noted however that the US has yet to show much economic benefit from the trend towards Hybrid Cars. Most popular Hybrid Cars on the American market come from Japanese manufacturers. This imbalance therefore needs to be addressed, in order not to substitute an energy imbalance with an economic one.

2008 Isuzu Ascender Production About to end: New isuzu car new 2008

2008 Isuzu Ascender Production About to end
by Anthony Fontanelle
The Isuzu Ascender is a mid size SUV from Isuzu. It was first launched in 2003 as a seven passenger SUV. It replaced the Japanese built mid size Isuzu Trooper. As for the year 2007 model the Isuzu Ascender is offered as a SUV that can seat five passengers. It replaced the Isuzu Rodeo and the Axiom. The 2008 Ascender is a 4 door, 5 passenger sport utility, available in two trims, the S 2WD and the S 4WD. It is a carryover from 2007. “Both trims are equipped with a standard 4.2 liter, I6, 285 horsepower engine that achieves 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. A 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.” Maximum towing capacity is 5800 lb. It offers a nice ride and impressive V6 engine power. It comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but four-wheel drive is an option. Though it’s not very distinctive, reviewers say that it is a good looking one. It has a very handsome front-end design which is enhanced by attractive badges, lights, grille, and bumpers(http://www.innerauto.com). It features machined-finish alloy wheels, 17 inch alloy wheels, over fenders and body side moldings. I quote from Auto Media “though officially midsize, this is one big vehicle.” Reviewers praise this vehicle for its very spacious interior and amazing auto body parts. It boasts abundant interior volume for both passengers and cargo. Even six-footers will enjoy ample head room, knee room, and foot space. It comes standard with height-adjustable front headrests, a second row folding bench seat, power windows and door locks, a tilt steering column, air conditioning with CFC-free refrigerant, manual dual-zone climate control with rear switch, and an AM/FM stereo and CD player with six speakers. It gets good scores in most federal government crash tests. According to usnews.rankingsandreviews.com, “In frontal crash tests, the 2008 Ascender gets four out of five stars for passenger protection, but only three stars for driver protection. It fares much better in side crash tests, earning top scores of five stars for both front- and rear-seat protection.” Standard safety features include a front and rear ventilated disc brakes 4 wheel ABS, traction control, front side mounted airbags, anti theft alarm system engine immobilizer, dusk sensing headlamps, front fog lights, tire-pressure monitoring system, daytime running lights, an electronic stability system and anti-lock brakes. The Ascender ends production after the 2009 model year as part of Isuzu's withdrawal from the United States market.

Diesel Truck MPG - Beating Gasoline Engines For More Miles Per Gallon : New Isuzu new car 2008

Diesel Truck MPG - Beating Gasoline Engines For More Miles Per Gallon
by Dean Forster

Often times the diesel engine truck is used to haul very heavy items, opting to pick a diesel engine will not only benefit for the heavy load, but it will also help with the miles per gallon (mpg). Diesel truck mpg is much better than that of gasoline engines. While regular unleaded gasoline runs more smoothly and is easier to find, the engine that runs on diesel fuel should still be considered when buying a new truck.
If a consumer is in the market for a new truck and they need to haul heavy loads regularly, that person should probably stick with diesel. Since diesel trucks can get better mileage (for they are built to go 250,000 miles more) they are ideal for heavy loads and many trips back and forth. Because of all these reasons, and although diesel trucks tend to cost more, they will end up being well worth the money in the long run.
One reason diesel fuel might have a higher cost than most gas is that it has higher energy content than gasoline, and diesel performance is usually better in terms of engine output. These reasons also mean that vehicles running on diesel put less global-warming pollution into the air. Thanks to its higher energy content and its efficient combustion process, diesel performance enables cars and trucks to travel at least 30% farther on a gallon of fuel than comparable gasoline models. The improved efficiency of diesel engines can also help reduce oil consumption.
Many dealerships are not offering a choice of either a diesel engine or a gasoline engine. While both are equal in different ways, the diesel engines have less keep up. Gasoline engines need a tune up every thirty thousand miles, while a diesel engine can go much longer without a tune up.
General Motors, Ford and many other companies are doing extensive research on putting forth a car that does not run on gasoline, but currently there are many consumers that are opting for a diesel engine over a gasoline engine. While most gasoline engines are a standard in cars, in order to keep diesel truck mpg down, a lot of companies are making the diesel engine a standard in most trucks. Hybrid trucks are also becoming quite a popular commodity as well, but until the price of hybrid trucks goes down, the diesel truck will still be one of the best choices.

Run Your Car on Water - An HHO Conversion Guide : New isuzu Truck hybrid water cars 2009

Run Your Car on Water - An HHO Conversion Guide
by James Topz
Converting your car into a water powered hybrid may be worth considering due to the drastic increase in gas prices around the world. Hybrid cars are expensive to buy off the lot, so you may not save enough to make it worth it, however converting your current vehicle to a water hybrid is a very inexpensive option with similar results! How would you like to save 30%-60% on gas? I'll tell you how! Hybrid simply means you can run your car on something else, along with gas, in the case of the water hybrid, that something is water. Using electrolysis, water is charged electrically, producing a surge of energy. When this power surge is mixed with regular fuel, it makes what is known as "brown gas", a fuel that is often 3 times more powerful than standard gasoline or diesel. These systems are often known as hydrogen generators, water car systems, or HHO. To build your own system is simple. You simply need a set of plans, an hour or two of time, and about $25 or $50 worth of household parts that you may already own. Saving gas is not the only benefit of HHO or water hybrid cars. Several readers and most users have reported smoother shifting, a smoother and quieter engine, increased pickup, and much lower emissions! Save money and the environment! This technology has been around for several decades, but has been mostly kept under wraps by the big oil companies as well as car companies hoping to maintain the value of their overpriced hybrids! To begin your water car / HHO conversion, we recommend reading the free Run Your Car on Water Guide Blog. It's also worth signing up for their free water car conversion newsletter!(site:http://run-your-car-on-water-guide.blogspot.com)

Save Money On Gas and Improve Gas Mileage (Not With Water Gas) : New Izusu gas Hybrid car 2008 2009 review

Save Money On Gas and Improve Gas Mileage (Not With Water Gas) : New isuzu car new 2008 gas Hybrid car 2009 review
by Gina Clark
With the price of gas rising almost daily, people are beginning to look for ways to save money and improve gas mileage. Most people can’t go out and buy new hybrid cars. There are also many people recommending that you change your own vehicle so it runs on water gas. However, this is written for those who are skeptical of the water power vehicles and just want to find ways to save money on gas and get better gas mileage. You improve gas mileage just by keeping your vehicle clean. The more things you have in your car weighing it down, the worse your gas mileage gets. Take the time to clean out your car. Get rid of absolutely everything inside of your vehicle that you do not need to have with you.Another one of the ways to save money on gas is to never ever buy gas during rush hour. Gas stations hike up their prices during this time because that’s when most people get gas. So it’s best to wait until late in the evening, unless of course you are up well before rush hour.Drive slower to improve gas mileage. Every 10 miles an hour faster that you drive, your vehicle increases the amount of gas that it consumes. It’s especially important to slow down in stop and go traffic. Many vehicles accelerate and brake rapidly, greatly decreasing their gas mileage. Drive at an even pace. Cruise control is ideal when possible to increase gas mileage. Use google to search for the lowest gas prices in your area. In this economy little savings are important and can add up.Another way to save money on gas is by combining trips. Do all of your errands in one trip. Know exactly where you need to go and plan your route ahead of time.In the current economy, it’s becoming extremely difficult to save money and to improve gas mileage. However, it’s necessary in order to save your finances. Try these ideas to improve gas mileage. You’ll save money and you’ll have the added benefit of reducing your emissions and helping the environment.

How Can I Improve Gas Mileage? : Truck hybrid cars 2009

How Can I Improve Gas Mileage? : New hybrid cars
by Doogster
We all know that the price of gas is spinning out of control and it seems to be cutting into everyone’s personal budget or your business’s bottom line. Well you can continue doing the same things you’ve done up until now, and expect different results……however, doing nothing, gets you nothing! If you are really serious about saving fuel, perhaps buying a hybrid is in your future, those vehicles are now getting anywhere from 25-54 mpg. But for those of us who can’t take that financial leap will have to use common sense, and creativity in generating fuel savings. I have outlined a few tips and suggestions that perhaps will get you more bang for your buck at stretching your cars fuel mileage. Taking advantage of simple gas savings opportunities will definitely reduce your spending at the pump on every fill up.Shop around, find the station in your area either while shopping or an internet search (ex: gasbuddy.com) with the best gas prices and fill up weekly or bi-weekly while you are out doing your normal errands or doing business. Pump prices can vary up to 20% within only a few blocks!Inspect and replace the air filter in your vehicle if needed. Yes, savings can be upwards of 10% in mpg. That could be a savings of 35-40 cents a gallon at today’s prices!Check tire pressure monthly and rotate tires regularly. It’s best to check the tire pressure in the cooler hours and go by the brands suggested pressure fill. Under inflated tires reduce fuel efficiency by 2% of each pound it is under inflated!DRIVE THE SPEED LIMIT! For every 5 miles you drive over 60 mph, you add an extra 10 cents (or more) per gallon of fuel that you purchase!Avoid Rush Hour if at all possible.Use your cruise control on the open road. Acceleration is the big enemy of fuel economy.Consider taking a basic vehicle maintenance course. Properly maintaining your vehicle is the #1 way to save in fuel consumption. Get a book or check into a local college course. Only 15% of your fuel is used, the rest is lost for many different reasons. It is absolutely critical that your vehicle is running as efficient as possible!Reduce the load in your car with heavy items. You can add 1-2% in fuel mileage by eliminating unnecessary heavy items in your vehicle.Buy gas at wholesale clubs (Walmart, Costco). You will often save upwards of 10 cents per gallon.Reduce drag. Remove the ski-, bicycle- or luggage-rack on your roof, that will seriously reduce wind resistance and save you money. Drop the tailgate on your truck when driving if not needed.Coast to a stop signal. Keeping a foot on the gas and braking abruptly wastes gas.Use gas credit cards. You can save 5-10% with gas rebates.Use public transit or carpool. Just drive to the depot or designated park n pool commute from there. You will notice a substantial savings in a short period of time!I have covered just a handful of simple gas saving techniques that can be applied to start saving on fuel bills and stretching your vehicles mpg stats. I hope you find these tips and suggestions useful to ease your pain at the gas.
